Next Gen Pickleball Academy coaches youth leagues on Saturdays at The Pickl Park, an indoor pickleball club in Frederick. Two groups run back to back, with age bands set by The Pickl Park: Kid's Drill and Play (ages 8–13, 2:00–3:00 PM) and Youth League (ages 10+, 3:00–4:30 PM). Your kid gets the same coaching we run in Montgomery County — small skill-based groups and plenty of reps every session — on cushioned indoor courts, so the weather never cancels a Saturday.

Six weeks of weekly meetups: we drill and practice for the first half of each session, then play games for the second half. It's for players who already keep a rally going — serving and returning, dropping, driving, volleying, and moving around the court. Yes. Pickleball is one of the safest racket sports for children: the court is smaller than tennis, the paddle is lightweight, and the ball moves at lower speeds than a tennis ball. USA Pickleball’s official youth progression uses color-coded balls (Red, Orange, Green, Yellow) with reduced bounce and compression so kids learn proper technique before the game speeds up. Our coaches are trained in youth-appropriate drills, warmups, and game formats.
